Café Ludwig and other program curation

As curator, host and pianist of Café Ludwig, the chamber music series at Pacific Symphony since 2007, Orli Shaham has created and performed in over 50 unique and compelling programs. In 2022, she was named Artist-In-Residence at Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (USA).

Commissioning and championing new works

Pianist Orli Shaham has commissioned and premiered concertos by Steven Mackey and David Robertson; and commissioned and/or performed works by Avner Dorman, Margaret Brouwer, Reena Esmail, Karen Tanaka, Bruce Adolphe, and Beata Moon. She regularly incorporates music by living composers in her recital and chamber programs.

    Orli founded Bach Yard in 2010, and is Artistic Director and host of the concerts.

    Chamber and recital programs demonstrating the influence and impact of the composer and pianist Clara Schumann.

  • Mozart Project

    Orli Shaham recorded all of Mozart’s sonatas for piano. Volumes 1-4 are available now; Volumes 5-6 are released in 2024. She recorded Piano Concerto Nos. 17 and 24 with St. Louis Symphony, David Robertson conducting. Her Midweek Mozart video series launched in 2020.
